I was thinking, wow, it's been a long time since you've blogged, Lisa Pearson. But those are lies. Lies, I tell you. I write blog posts under my Instagram and Facebook pics. ALL THE TIME. Like today. (Sorry picture lovers. I can't help myself.)

Galatians 2:3-5 in case you can't read sideways. Blame Squarespace's app limitations, not my heart.

I worry sometimes, but then I come back to the Word. This was my Word this morning. When I tell you that God answers me and my concerns! I HAVE been so foolish as to think that if God is taking too long (in my time) or that I don't have all the answers in place that I must do what I have to to figure it out. False. And I HAVE (again) concerned myself with the things I do (and have done) that are not pleasing to God. AND HE ANSWERED ME. Two totally different concerns in the same verse. Only God. I have to also mention that I gave up sooo much to follow Him. (My job 😏, independence, social life, luxuries that I took for granted, my favorite pair of shoes (long story for another day.) So verse four, which wasn't part of my morning prayer was a reminder that He has a plan. None of this will be in vain. 🙌🏽

There IS work that God gives you (me) to do in His Spirit (with His power and authority.) And there is God's work that He will do WITHOUT your (my) help. It will be way beyond what we could imagine so (as one of my good girlfriends and Sister in Christ used to tell me, "Stop trying to stir the pot, Lee. God knows what He's cooking.") 🍴AND yes, we are saved by grace (which doesn't mean a free license to do whatever.) But I thank Him for loving me through the gift of repentance and submission to the Holy Spirit. And I thank Him for His Living Word that answers all our concerns.
